Legacy Organizing

Give your loved ones the peace of mind that comes from knowing you have a plan, where to find it, and crucially, how to access it.

    • You don’t have a Will, or yours is outdated. Or, you have a Will, but nobody knows about it, or where to find it.

    • You have kids, but no guardianship plan.

    • You’ve never put your final wishes in writing.

    • If you died tomorrow, no one would know what bills to pay, what accounts to close, or where to start.

    • Your household inventory exists only in your head, which is not ideal in an emergency.

    • Your partner handles all the bills, passwords, and online accounts — and you’re not sure how you’d manage if they died first.

    • You’ve spent years taking photos on your phone, but no one else knows what’s there, what matters, or what should be saved.

    • You have a remarkable life story, and maybe it’s time to tell it.

  • Think of this as your ‘just in case’ playbook. A guided process to get your most important documents, accounts, and wishes in order. It’s like leaving behind a treasure map — where the treasure is answers, instructions, and peace of mind when life hits the fan.

    • Save your loved ones time, stress, and awkward “so…now what?” moments.

    • Spot the gaps in your life planning.

    • Organize your vital documents in a system that actually makes sense, whether you’re digital, analog, or a charming combination of both.

    • Protect your digital legacy with passwords, legacy contacts, and clear instructions for the people who may need to step in.

    • Make a plan for your stuff, from sentimental keepsakes to valuables and collections.

    • Create an in-case-of-emergency file with key contacts, instructions, and a communication plan.

    • Preserve the photos, stories, and memorial wishes that help your people honor your life the way you want.

    • Get referrals to trusted professionals in my network for appraisals, estate sales, move management, real estate, legal services, storytelling, and more.

This isn’t just paperwork. It’s peace of mind. It’s an enormous act of love for those you leave behind.

FAQ

  • To keep things simple, my onboarding process is streamlined and automated:

    1. Let’s meet: We start with a free, no-pressure Zoom consultationto make sure we’re a great fit. If so, we’ll get your first session scheduled right then and there.

    2. The paperwork: I’ll send over a services agreement for you to sign.

    3. The payment: Once signed, that document automatically becomes your first invoice. A small retainer gets us started, and after that, you just pay as you go.

    4. Stay on track: You’ll get automated reminders for our upcoming sessions so you never miss a beat.

I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all packages. Everyone’s digital life is different, and everyone learns at their own pace. Instead, I work on a flexible, pay-as-you-go hourly basis so you only pay for exactly the support you need, when you need it. (Ask me about discounts for pre-paying larger blocks of hours.)

  • The short answer is that I come to your home for 3-5 hours. I sit with you and your gadgets, help you adjust settings, teach you a few things, and gather intel on how you like to work.

If you’re very tech savvy and simply trying to level-up on something like inbox management, I can do remote sessions via zoom. But more often, the folks who call me are in quite a pickle. It’s usually more efficient and less annoying for you when I can be there in person.

If you have a single issue to address, like updating privacy settings, we can make good progress in a single session.

But let’s say you have several goals: organizing your online photos, inbox management, implementing a password manager, and capturing your online accounts and subscription services in writing. That’s probably 2-4 sessions.

The amount of time it takes depends on many factors: your level of proficiency, how quicky you make decisions, the age of your device(s), whether your software is up to date, and even whether you’re hungry, thirsty, or tired.

  • I service Marin country as far north as Novato; East Bay: Richmond, Berkeley, Oakland; San Francisco (depends on parking!); South San Francisco; and Peninsula as far south as Belmont.

Because our sessions tend to be short (3-5 hours), I prefer to keep my roundtrip commute time to 90 minutes from San Francisco. I will travel further, but I do charge for my time beyond 90 minutes roundtrip.
